Missions

ARBF has a variety of missions for all ages.  The following describes each one and gives you the name of their respective leaders for each mission in order to contact them if you have any questions.

Our youngest group is called Mission Friends, formerly called Sunbeams. They learn of Jesus and his love, about people in parts of the world who have never heard of Jesus and the missionaries who are teaching them. Our Bible School last summer had the privilege of seeing and hearing the Ballow family. Our church is helping to support their ministry in Macau, a Chinese city.  This age group is from preschool through kindergarten. They meet two Sundays a month during the eleven o'clock worship hour. Their leaders are Babette Martin and Beth Roe.

The next mission group has been called Children in Missions but our group named themselves Preteen Atlantic Coast Christians (PACC). This group is from age 7 through 6th grade. They enjoy Bible study, scripture memorization, projects, and field trips. This group meets twice a month on Sunday evenings. Their leaders are Kellie Morris and Jennifer Carr.

The youth group begins at 7th grade and goes through High School. They have Bible study and choose topics of special interest to them. They also help with mission/service projects and helping out in the community during the year. They have fund raisers such as car washes and hot dog suppers etc. to support Relay for Life and to help pay their expenses to the Youth Evangelism Conference in Richmond each year. After returning from the conference several members give interesting and informative reports on the activities and what they have learned.

The adult ladies named themselves the AIM Group when organized in the fall of 1995. AIM is an acronym which stands for Angels In Missions. We are a mission group who come together for Bible study, prayer, mission involvement and fellowship once a month, September through May (weather permitting). We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall (unless for some reason the date must be changed). Dora Williams is our leader. All the ladies of ARBF are encouraged to be a part of AIM.
